P.S 63 Authors’ Academy prepares ALL Students to be global citizens that are passionate problem-solvers, college and career ready and are socially and emotionally competent with a life-long desire for learning.
Through effective collaboration and caring and nurturing community, all adults challenge students with high academic expectations and rigorous instruction that will empower them as learners and inspire all students to reach their full academic, social- emotional, and physical potential.
We believe that all children can learn and that it is our responsibility as educators to help students to develop into effective learners. Effective learning requires that students take control of their own learning. Students need to know that learning in life and in school is not about how smart they are, but how they are smart.
